Pong FAQ
Common questions about paddle control, ball angles, leveling, and scoring.
How do you play Pong?
Move the paddle left/right to bounce the ball. Keep the rally going — the ball speeds up every 10 hits. Miss the ball and the game ends.
How do you control the paddle?
Mouse cursor on desktop, left/right arrow keys, or touch-drag on mobile. The paddle is clamped and cannot move past the left or right walls.
How does the ball angle change?
Hitting the left third of the paddle bends the ball left; the center preserves direction; the right third bends it right. Wall bounces are simple reflections.
How does leveling work in Pong?
Every 10 successful paddle hits advances one level. Ball speed increases by 12% per level (× 1.12 multiplier). Current level is shown in the toolbar.
How is the Pong score calculated?
Score = hits × currentLevel × 10. Scoring at higher levels yields significantly more points per hit, so surviving longer multiplies your reward.
Is there a high score?
Yes — the leaderboard is coming very soon, to save your best scores. It is accessible from the toolbar throughout every game session.
How do I start a new game?
From the Game Over screen press Space or tap Play Again. From within a game, use the New Game button in the toolbar.
Does Pong work on mobile?
Yes — touch drag controls the paddle. The canvas scales to fill the screen, and touch scrolling is disabled during play to prevent accidental page scrolls.
